Counselling for adults in Chester and Frodsham, Cheshire. Online nationwide.

I'm Helen (she/her)

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a teacher, supporting students both in the classroom and pastorally. That, and having grown up 6000 miles from my birthplace, my diverse experiences, training, and connections have led me to where I am today. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the uniqueness of every individual, and I firmly believe in each person's ability to find their own path.

Helping and supporting others has always been a deep part of who I am. I have a natural empathy and genuine care for people and animals alike—I can’t stand to see any living being in pain. It feels good helping others feel happy and whole again.

For years, as a teacher, students often told me how approachable I was, how much I truly listened, and how deeply I cared about their dreams and aspirations. Becoming a counsellor felt like the natural next step—a true vocation for me. I genuinely love what I do and I am committed to supporting others on their journey to healing and growth. My clients tell me that they feel listened to, feel a calmness from me and they can sense that I genuinely care.

I am here to offer you a compassionate and safe environment to explore your concerns, whether you are seeking assistance in achieving a particular goal, having a personal struggle, or navigating through the impact of a significant life event or a bereavement.

Alongside my private work, I am privileged to work as a counsellor for large charitable organisation in the north west of the UK, helping clients with a range of presenting issues and particularly support individuals who have experienced domestic violence and those bereaved by suicide.
