Counselling for adults in Chester, Tarporley and Frodsham, Cheshire. Online nationwide.

Hello, I’m Helen,

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in various roles—including many years as a secondary school teacher in the UK and Asia. I’m also a third culture kid, having grown up across different countries and continents. These cross-cultural experiences shaped how I see the world, deepened my understanding of identity, and helped me appreciate the unique paths we each walk.

Supporting others has always been at the heart of my work. With a natural sense of empathy and a calm, grounded presence, I offer a non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, valued, and supported. My counselling is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and a deep belief in each person’s capacity for healing and growth.

In my private counselling practice, I support adults navigating grief, bereavement (including pet loss and suicide bereavement), anxiety, and major life transitions. I am also employed as a counsellor for an established mental health charity in Liverpool, further deepening my work with trauma-informed support.

No two clients are the same, and I believe in meeting you exactly where you are. Whether you’re carrying deep sadness, feeling overwhelmed, or just need space to process and breathe, I’ll walk beside you as you find your way forward.

"People are just as wonderful as sunsets if I can let them be... I watch [them] with awe as [they] unfold." – Carl Rogers
