Counselling for adults in Chester and Frodsham, Cheshire. Online nationwide.
Hello I'm Helen,
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in various roles, including many years as a teacher in both the UK and Asia. Growing up in different countries and living abroad as an adult has given me a unique understanding of the challenges of being away from home, as well as the complexities of returning. These experiences have also contributed to who I am today and reinforced my belief in the individuality of each person and the power we all have to find our own path.
Helping others has always been at the heart of what I do. With a natural empathy and deep care for people, I am committed to supporting individuals through difficult times. I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported. My passion lies in helping people heal and grow.
In my private practice and as a counsellor for a charity in the North West, I support individuals navigating grief, loss, anxiety, and life transitions, including those who have experienced bereavement by suicide. I believe in creating a safe environment where clients can work through their challenges and move forward at their own pace.
I am a qualified person centred counsellor and registered with the BACP.
I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Counsellng Professions, attend monthly supervison and continue with my professional learning. I am fully insured, registered with the ICO and hold an enhanced DBS certificate. I attend annual safeguarding training.
